In ancient Norse mythology, the branches and roots of the sacred tree Yggdrasil connected the many worlds and realms of its inhabitants, its trunk itself encompassing the center of the cosmos. Much like the ancient tree of myth, Yggdrasil lies at the heart of Mjolnir Energy -- being the pivotal algorithm that binds all of our services and customers together.
The Yggdrasil Network is an intelligent cloud-connected algorithm that monitors, controls, and aggregates the battery capacity of Mjolnir Energy into manageable bids. Due to the nature of our installations and our smart chargers, we are able to track and optimize our energy storage - bundling up each installation's capacity into bids on the Reserve Market. As with the inhabitants of Norse myth, all of our services don't exist in the same "realm"; rather, our target countries are split into different "bidding zones" of the Electricity Market, and Yggdrasil manages these independently - each bidding zone structure existing in it's own little world.
Using advanced artificial intelligence and predictive modeling, Yggdrasil is able to monitor patterns of the Electricity Market, the driving patterns of Electric Vehicles at our installations, as well as the load profiles of our industrial customers in order to create manageable, reliable Reserve Bids. The best part is that the more installations we build and the more EVs we manage, the higher the reliability of our bids and services: by using stochastic modeling and law-of-large-numbers probabilistic distribution to our advantage, our network is able to reduce the risks inherent to bidding in a day-ahead fashion through the aggregation of geographically separate facilities (as long as they are within the same bidding zone), allowing for more efficient use of our batteries and ensuring bid compliance.
Yggdrasil is an algorithm that will roll out in phases. Already, an alpha version of the program is finalized, with many more features already being added in the Beta stage. As EV charger protocols and technologies continue to evolve, so too will Yggdrasil's capabilities, moving from first stage intelligent charging to full bi-directional EV2G status.
Finally, Yggdrasil will manage the user profiles of our EV users, taking their driving and charging schedules into account when calculating our available capacity at a given moment. It is extremely important that we maintain our customers happy, and that requires not only allowing them to specify charging and discharging windows, but also making sure we learn about their driving patterns and tailor our services to each profile.

Transparency is key to our business, so our phone application allows EV owners to see historic power statistics and the State of Charge of their vehicle in real time. It also allows users to limit maximum discharge and time windows of availability, so your EV is always ready for your needs on the fly.
